Professional issuing and management of limited partnership projects
Since 2001, JR Shipping has been successfully involved in the structuring, issuing and management of limited partnerships.
The companies’ fleet is continuously expanded with both newbuilding vessels and existing tonnage. These vessels are all financed through limited partnerships (Dutch CV-companies). JR Shipping’s current fleet’s purchase price amounts to around € 386 million. In order to secure equity financing for its new vessels, the company started to initiate and issue limited partnership investment projects in 2001. Since then, some € 153 million equity has been invested in the various CV-companies, initiated by JR Shipping.
JR Shipping structures and issues these projects herself. By acting independently the company is able to select and structure its projects based on realistic projection starting points, without interference from third parties, such as equity financing houses. On a regular basis, JR Shipping offers both private and corporate investors the opportunity to participate in the equity of new CV-companies, offering investors attractive returns on investment.
The shipping group enjoys the confidence of a large and varied group of private and corporate investors participating in the fleet. The long-term satisfaction of its partners is considered to be JR Shipping’s most important asset.

JR Shipping’s track record shows the company is successful in generating attractive results for its partners. A specialised department (Issuing of limited partnerships and Investor relations) ensures transparent information for and professional support of approximately 3600 partners in the various CV-companies initiated by JR Shipping. Partners’ meetings take place at least once a year. The issue of publications like news letters and quarterly and annual reports contribute to transparency, resulting in involvement of the partners.
