JR Shipping is an experienced and renowned ship owning company, leading in the market of container feeder vessels. The shipping group owns and operates a fast growing fleet of modern container feeder vessels sailing under the Dutch quality flag. The container vessels are successfully chartered out to first class container line operators by the group’s own charter broker company. The decisive ship management organisation, as well as the dedicated staff on board of the vessels, stimulate the excellent performance of the JR Shipping fleet. Today, nearly 250 people are employed on board and on shore. The JR Shipping group of companies is headed by its two managing owners Mr. J. R. Arends and Mr. S. D. Schakelaar.
JR Shipping’s subsidiary companies are:
- JR Ship Management BV (ship management)
- JR Ship Crew BV (crew management)
- Confeeder Shipping & Chartering BV (charter brokerage)
- JR Ship Cruise BV (travel agency for passengers)
The fleet is continuously expanded with newbuilding vessels and competitive existing tonnage. The vessels are all financed through limited partnerships (Dutch CV-companies). JR Shipping structures these projects herself and offers private and corporate investors the opportunity to participate in the equity of new CV-companies, offering investors attractive returns on investment on a regular basis. A specialised department (Issuing of limited partnerships and Investor relations) ensures transparent information for and professional support of the partners in the CV-companies.
